A lot of our focus in this Christmas series has been on the person of Jesus. Mark’s gospel, though not a telling of the specific events of Jesus’s birth, clearly teaches us that the Invasion of Divinity was not just about Jesus, but was actually all part of a beautiful dance between the three persons of the Trinity – God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This Trinity is based on a perfect love relationship between these three Persons, and it is out of this kind of love that Jesus, in obedience to the voice of the Father and with the power of the Spirit, came to this earth to save us.
