As I reflect on this past year of YO Kids, I am reminded of the blessings and fun I have with the Trinity Young Ones. They are a delight to be around. We had a great year and did a lot of special things.

Over the years of YO Kids we have found some favorite activities that we continue to do each year. Some of these include decorating our t-shirts, going on a pumpkin hunt, which is always enjoyed; making crafts, video/jammie nights, and gym nights.

As Christians we are reminded to share our love with others. The YO Kids do just that by making and sending cards to our shut-ins, our military members, and our missionaries. This is a great learning experience for our Young Ones because it teaches them to give of themselves by giving up something that they have created and think is special. Each YO Kids night we have a time of sharing and prayer together. The kids have great prayers and often do the prayer themselves!

This year we did something we have never done before. Some might call us brave and others may have considered us a little crazy as we took all the YO Kids on a field trip to the Grandville Fire Station! We even added the adventure of riding on our church bus which was a ton of fun for the kids as well as the parent helpers!

As I look to another year of YO Kids, I am asking for new volunteers to help on YO Kids nights. I have been blessed by the help given by Lynda Kiekover and Greta Heyboer. They both served faithfully for many years. Now they have decided to move on with their children into other areas of service at church. If you would like to help out with this special and fun group of kids, please give me a call or you may call Sally in the church office. We are willing to work around your schedule and would love to see anyone that loves children to come and help!
