The brochure the XYZ Club received from the Evergreen Commons described their Christmas Program as follows:  “Celebrate the season with an elegant event featuring delicious food and delightful entertainment.”  And this description proved to be very accurate!

On December 10th, forty three of our XYZers left Trinity, thanks to all the drivers who generously drove!  The Evergreen Chorale is under the direction of Calvin Langejans and consists of 100 members!

We were seated around beautifully decorated tables, and were entertained by the first segment of the program, a mix of familiar and classical Christmas songs.  The Choral members then removed their robes and put on their aprons and very efficiently served us the delicious dinner, after which the choir, in different and attractive robes, entertained us with the second segment of the program.  After this segment, we were very efficiently served our delicious dessert.

The final segment was very special.  As lovely music was sung, we watched the portraying of Jesus’ birth, and during this performance, a lighted cross slowly appeared in the large Christmas tree which was on the stage.  This performance was very moving and inspiring and indeed, overall, the whole program was an elegant event!

A note of thanks was received from Jan Flowers, WIC coordinator at Baxter.  “Many hands and heads will be warm this winter because of your generosity.  Thank you for sharing with Baxter.”  A total of 120 hats, mittens, and scarves were received and donated!  Thanks to all at Trinity for your generosity!
