The G.E.M.S. is an acromym for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior (GEMS) program. At Trinity, GEMS is a relationship building club created especially for girls in first grade through eighth grade. On Wednesday evenings we sing, learn life skills through badge work, learn how to apply the Bible to our lives through lessons, make fun crafts, participate in service projects that make a difference in others lives, and enjoy great snacks. Sometimes on the weekend we even have a campout or sleepover!

The purpose of GEMS Girls' Clubs is to bring girls into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.  To help foster this relationship, girls in clubs are organized into small groups with one leader or counselor for each group of six to eight girls. And it is through these small groups, and the weekly interactions that take place in club that faith is nurtured and developed, and long lasting friendships are made. r this all-important relationship between each girl and Christ, other relationships are nurtured as well - between girls and between girls and their counselor (leader). Every year, GEMS has a special theme for the year. This year's theme is "Abba, I Belong to You." We belong to God and He loves us. I John 3:1 says, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him."

gems-project02Girls, did you know that you are a princess? The title 'princess' means different things to different people. When the world talks about being a princess, they are often referring to someone who is spoiled, pampered, and lives by the motto, "It's all about me!" At GEMS, being a princess speaks about our relationship with God. God is our Abba (meaning Daddy) Father and we are His children, His precious daughters. God is our King and we are His princesses. Because of our relationship with God there should be a family resemblance. God's children should grow to live as Jesus did! We will learn that as His daughters we should then show His love to others. That's what we'll be focusing on this year in GEMS and we hope and pray that you will be there.
