The Cadets program at our church is a boys club. It is open to all boys from Trinity as well as from the community in first grade through eighth grade. The goal of our Cadet Program is to help boys to grow more Christ-like in all areas of life. Our intention is to provide a "fun" program where Cadets interact with Christian men and other boys where the love of Jesus Christ is displayed.

 These are the basic principles of our Cadet Ministry:

• God is revealed in His Word – The Cadet Ministry encourages studying the Bible as the guide to life.
  
  
• God is revealed in nature – The Cadet Ministry encourages experiencing the presence of the Lord in His glorious creation. Learning the skills of an outdoorsmen builds a boy's character, and developing a boy's understanding of his place in God's world helps him to be a faithful steward. 
  
  
• Men as God's servants – The Calvinist Cadet Corps is the ministry of men of God who are dedicated to bring boys into a living relationship with their Lord and Savior. These men, understanding their imperfection, hold on to the promise that the Lord will bless their prayers, their example, and their instruction if they rely on God's strength. Luke 2:52 says that "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." The goal of the Calvinist Cadet Corps, based upon that verse, is to help boys grow spiritually in all areas of life (devotional, mental, physical, and social) by providing Christian men with a uniquely designed structure, program, and materials so that they can mentor boys effectively.

 We study Bible lessons, work on badges, do group projects, perform acts of service, and make derby cars. Many outdoor skills are taught as well as camping, knot tying, axemanship, archery, etc.

This year, Cadet Ministry meets Wednesdays at 6:20 PM, beginning September 7, 2011. Below is the format of our regular meeting:

• Opening Ceremonies (the pledge of allegiance, cadet motto, cadet code, cadet verse, and cadet theme for the year-"Shaped for Service")
  
  
• Bible Lesson. This is normally taken from the "Quest" magazine (formerly known as the "Crusader")
  
  
• Craft/Project Time.
  
  
  
  
• Reminders of future activities and important dates.

Each month we try to include a gym night or some other special night.
